We are incredibly lucky to be able to offer swimmers the chance to join a Zoom session with Kevin Pickard from Adam Peaty's Race Clinics this week.
Adam Peaty is currently the World Record Holder in both the 50m and 100m long course breaststroke events. He has won medals at all the major championships including the Olympics, Worlds, Europeans and the Commonwealth Games. He is now delivering race clinics to swimmers all over the country including locally in Hoddesdon! Adam's goal is to build a legacy in the sport and inspire swimmers on all different levels.
Kevin is working alongside Adam to deliver these clinics. Kevin has a huge amount of experience in swimming and has worked with a range of athletes, coaches and clubs. He is incredibly passionate about the sport and has offered to provide local clubs with a talk prior to the clinic coming to the local area and the start of the Olympics.
There is an opportunity to contribute in the chat box throughout the talk and we are asking swimmers to consider the following questions in advance.
Who inspires you?
Why do you swim?
What do you love about swimming?
Kevin would also like to know what is it about the Olympics that excites you? For example, it could be a swimmer a race or a sport. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the end. These could be about Adam Peaty, Adam Peaty's race clinics, swimming in general or what you would like to see in swimming in the future. The talk is open to all club members and will take place at 6pm on Wednesday 30th June. The Zoom meeting link has been emailed out to all club members already. More information can be found on social media. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on Wednesday!
